Home On Thatcher Road Destroyed By Fire Thursday Evening

A home on Thatcher Road was destroyed by fire Thursday evening.

Firefighters from several fire agencies battled the fire. At 7:45 p.m., a 911 call was made reporting a house fire at 1400 Thatcher Road.

The Sequoyah Volunteer Fire Department responded and arrived on the scene reporting heavy fire on the back and side of the house. Sequoyah VFD requested a mutual aid response for additional manpower. 

The Soddy Daisy Fire Department and Dallas Bay VFD responded to the scene. Hamilton County Marine Rescue responded for rehab and Sale Creek VFD stood by their station for a possible response to the fire.

No injuries were reported but HCEMS was on the scene for any potential injuries to firefighters.

The cause of the fire is undetermined and will be under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriffs Office.

Damages are unknown at this time.

The family lost one dog in the fire.

The American Red Cross was called to the scene to help the family of four adults with their immediate needs.
