Friday's Bradley-Cleveland Contest Named A Great American rivalry Series Game

Wednesday, October 2, 2019

This week’s game between Cleveland and Bradley Central has been named one of the 2019 season’s Great American Rivalry Series contests.

Now in its 16th year, the Great American Rivalry Series® celebrates the passion of high school football. Since 2004, the Series has covered 859 elite high school football rivalry games across 44 states, highlighting exceptional athletes and decades of competition.

We Know Friday Nights™.

The Cleveland and Bradley Central rivalry demonstrates passionate athleticism and sportsmanship in the local community. The Great American Rivalry Series is proud to return in 2019 to showcase this game. This year’s game will be played on the Bears’ home field.

Going into the Region 2-6A game, Bradley (4-1, 2-0) is coming off a 54-28 win over Ooltewah, while the Blue Raiders (3-2, 1-1) were victorious over winless Heritage, 45-7, last Friday night.

To amplify the excitement, the Great American Rivalry Series partners with ScoreStream, America’s largest fan-driven, sports-sharing platform. During the rivalry game, fans can upload scores, photos, and videos to the app to be viewed by users worldwide. Fans can see and share live footage from the game and stay updated with scores and content.

Along with year-long bragging rights, the winning team will take home the Great American Rivalry Series Championship trophy, presented by the Marines. The game’s Most Valuable Player will be recognized after the game as part of the Series, and a senior Scholar-Athlete from each team will receive a college scholarship based on academic and athletic performance.

Kickoff will be at 7;30 p.m. and Bradley will celebrate Senior Night, as well, that night.

The Wheel Tax Wouldn't Be A Sacrifice And Supports Our Teachers - And Response (9)

I appreciate our underpaid teachers here in Tennessee so much. We as a whole have a moral obligation to make sure we contribute to their pay. A wheel tax on our cars is a minimal expense to most of us. Sixty dollars is not enough for us to complain. We shouldn't even bat an eye at that if it contributes to the hard working teachers who sacrifice daily for our children. We ... (click for more)

One summer’s day when I was in my early teens, I was walking home from swimming practice and decided I might stop by the house of the most beautiful girl my age that I had ever seen, which was about halfway between the pool and where I grew up. Told she was at the house next door; I went to find her and was confronted with something I had never experienced. She was being playfully ... (click for more)
