Karen Hammontree
Karen Hammontree, age 59, of Tunnel Hill, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2019 at her residence.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Vineyard and Eula Vineyard; and sister, Rayme King.
She is survived by her husband, Marty Hammontree of the residence; daughters and a son-in-law, Gabrielle and Jacob Casey of Calhoun, Danielle Brooks of Chickamauga and Mandi Webb of Tunnel Hill; son, Jonathan Bradley of Rocky Face; brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Ashley Vineyard of Dalton; mother-in-law, Hildred Hammontree of Varnell; three sisters-in-law, Anita and John Paul Campbell of Gadsden, Al., Regina Schultz of Rocky Face and Elaine Hill of Cohutta; eight grandchildren, Jade, Tylor, Spencer, Brycin, Kelsi, Brazleigh, Gunner and Brighton; four great-grandchildren; and special friends Ricky and Chrissie.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, Oct. 20, at 3 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Keely Hasty officiating. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be: Spencer Amos, Tylor Amos, Brycin Casey, Nathan Dempsey, Terry Boyd and Gene Redmond.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, Oct. 19, from 5-9 p.m.
