Collegedale Parks And Recreation Department Treats Children At 2 Halloween Events

  • Wednesday, October 23, 2019

On Friday, members of Collegedale Park and Recreation Department will transform into good pirates, giving away candy and a toy to children stopping by their booth located along the Haunted Trails at the Enterprise South Nature Park.

With two trails for families to enjoy, Collegedale Parks and Recreation Department will be located on the “Too Cute to Spook” Trick or Treat Trail.  Kid-friendly decorations line the “Too Cute to Spook” trail which includes locally sponsored booths for children to get in some early Trick or Treating.  The trail opens at 6pm and is for children ages 12 and under.  Go to: parks.hamiltontn.gov for more information and to check on possible weather delays.

On Sunday, from 11 a.m.

until 4 p.m., Collegedale Parks and Recreation Department along with other vendors will once again be providing treats to children attending the Haunted Market at The Commons.  At 2 p.m., the Parks and Recreation Department will host a children’s costume parade.  All participants will get a treat bag with a Halloween safety light necklace.  For more information on the Haunted Market, go to: https://www.chattanoogafun.com/event/haunted-market/10873/

Both events will provide an opportunity for families to keep their children safe while still enjoying a good time trick or treating.  For questions about either Halloween event, contact Traci Bennett-Hobek, Collegedale Parks and Recreation Director, at 423 468-1971 or email at thobek@collegedaletn.gov
