Veterans Salute And Information Fair Is Saturday

The third Veterans Salute and Information Fair is set for this Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Eastgate Town Center, Entrance A, 5600 Brainerd Road in Chattanooga.

"Created to thank our veterans and help them learn about benefits, job opportunities and support throughout our community, the Salute is coordinated by the Chattanooga Area Veterans Council (CAVC) and is open at no charge to all military veterans and their families," organizers said.

There will be free drinks, snacks, live entertainment and door prizes will be given away to veterans every 15 minutes throughout the event (must be present to win). 

Also on hand will be the Veterans Administration “Mobile Vet Center,” US Express’ Marine Corps decorated tractor-trailer rig and U.S. Army Recruiting will have game simulations available, along with career opportunity details.

Some 60 organizations and businesses will be on-hand to provide information on veteran benefits, community resources, education opportunities, employment, wellness care, patriotism, veteran service groups and more.
