Chattanooga Resident Travels To Austin For Commencement Program

  • Thursday, October 24, 2019

Local resident Bethany Norman earned her master’s degree in science, curriculum and instruction from WGU Tennessee, and traveled to Austin, Tx., to receive her diploma at the university’s fall commencement.

“It’s a special experience to be part of WGU commencement," said Dr. Kimberly K. Estep, chancellor of WGU Tennessee. "Watching our graduates like Bethany accept her diploma after all of her dedication and hard work is a proud moment for everyone at WGU Tennessee. Each and every one of our students works hard, both in and out of their degree program, and the commencement is a celebration of their accomplishments. This is a monumental time in their lives, and we are honored to be a part of it.”

WGU Tennessee is an online, nonprofit university formed in 2013 through a partnership between the state of Tennessee and nationally recognized Western Governors. Graduates are welcome to attend any of the WGU commencements held around the country.
