Charles Benjamin “Benjy” Trapp

Charles Benjamin “Benjy” Trapp, 49, of East Ridge, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2019.

He was born on Aug. 2, 1970, in Huntsville, Al., and graduated from Scottsboro High School “Class of 88”. He received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from UTC and worked for Liberty Tax. Benjy loved people, golfing and Alabama football.

He was a member of Scottsboro Grace Lutheran Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Fay Trapp.

Survivors include his father, Carlos Trapp, of East Ridge, Tn., three uncles, Kenneth Trapp, of Texas, Odis Hughes, of Illinois, Cecil Hunt, of Georgia, two aunts, Martha Nelson, of Alabama, Brenda Casey, of Florida, several cousins and many wonderful friends.

A memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27, in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Reverend Wayland Stewart officiating. Interment will be in Burgess Cemetery in Scottsboro, Al.

The family will receive friends from 2–6 p.m. on Saturday and 2–4 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
