Charles Robert (Bob) Tuck passed away on Monday, October 28, 2019.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Powell Tuck and Cecile Aycock Tuck; and parents-in-law, Thomas Jackson Chitwood and Beatrice Mae Chitwood.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Helen Chitwood Tuck; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Steve (Leslie) Tuck of Macon, Ga.; son and daughter-in-law, Mike (Amanda) Tuck of Chatsworth, Ga.; daughter and son-in-law, Terri (Kevin) Tuck Borie of Birmingham, Al.; grandchildren, Chase Borie, Tuck Borie, Laney Tuck, Harrison Tuck, Tatum Tuck and Maddie Tuck; and sister and brother-in-law, Ann (John) Mullican of Decatur, Al.

Bob was born in Decatur, Al. on Dec. 16, 1932. He graduated from Decatur High School in 1951 and earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in Chemistry from Birmingham Southern in 1956. He served in the U.S. Army Chemical Corps after graduating college.

Bob and Helen moved to Dalton in 1965 where he worked at Chemical Processing of Georgia. In 1981, along with Jim Price, he started Lenmar Chemical Company, which he sold and retired in 2014. He was a member of Dalton First Methodist Church for 54 years and served on the Board of Mercer Medical School for nine years. He enjoyed working, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and Alabama football.

A celebration of life will be held at Dalton First Methodist Church on Sunday, Nov. 3, at 3 p.m.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, Nov. 3, from 1-3 p.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks the memorials be made to Dalton First United Methodist Church.
