Jimmy Lowell Fox, 79, a resident of the Wetmore community, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 4, 2019 at a local hospital. Mr. Fox had been a resident at LifeCare Center of Cleveland for past several years.
He faithfully served our country with the United States Marine Corps and enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching football. Jimmy loved spending time on his tractor plowing fields and bush hogging. He was a heavy equipment operator for many years and loved spending time with his family and friends.
He was born on Nov. 30, 1939 to the late Bowden and Thelma Norwood Fox and was also preceded in death by his siblings, Billy Fox, Herman Fox, Betty Culpepper and Sandra Fox.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, beloved daughters, Rachel Paula Fox and Peggy Fox Anselment (fiancé, Wendell Ingram); one granddaughter, Akisha (Quintin) Campbell; and siblings, Glen (Laverne) Fox, Bobby Fox and Mae (David) Powell. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home, with Pastor Paul Fox officiating.
His family will receive friends from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
