Both Victim And Shooter Arrested In Incident In 6900 Block Of Shallowford Road

Both the victim and the shooter have been charged in a incident early Sunday morning in which a man was shot in the 6900 block of Shallowford Road.

The shooting victim, Dewayne Love, 37, was charged with reckless endangerment and possession of a firearm while intoxicated.

Tevin Davis, 27, is facing the same charges.

The incident happened around 2:42 a.m.

Upon arrival, police located a large gathering of people. Police were met by Love who advised he had been shot. Hamilton County EMS responded and transported him to a local hospital.

Police secured the scene and detained Davis in connection with the shooting.

The CPD Violent Crimes Unit was notified and responded. Investigators were able to determine that both Love and Davis were intoxicated, in possession of firearms, and discharged them in a reckless manner, it was stated.

Both men were transported and booked into the Hamilton County Jail.
