Not Hilary Again

  • Tuesday, October 8, 2019

Earlier this year I stated Hillary Clinton was not done with the idea of running for President. I still believe it. She is pacing on the sidelines in hopes the party will turn to her now some are fading.

Joe Biden is sinking in Ukrainian quicksand and seeing diminished fundraising. He’s again absent from the campaign trail. Bernie Sanders’ likely will be out of the race soon. He waited three days to disclose the fact he suffered a heart attack. He has disclosed, however, he can accrue vast wealth selling books.

Elizabeth Warren was caught in another whopper. Archived videos contradict some of her favorite tales like the latest one about losing a teaching job because she was expecting. Sooner or later her fairy tale will go up in smoke, but she shouldn’t turn to Dancing with the Stars.

How convenient it is Hillary has another book to peddle. The Clintons never do anything without weighing it in the balance of ambition. So she’s running a shadow campaign posing as an author’s tour to avoid many difficult questions. She also avoids a grueling campaign schedule where before she would break into violent coughing fits, sometimes collapsing, raising questions about her fitness. Resting in big puffy chairs she can now prattle on about how Trump stole the election and what a rotten mess the the country is in. And unlike her flopped speaking tour with Bill, the place she where speaks will be a small venue not a vast half empty hall. But the best news is her publisher pays the bills.

Then what could she offer working Americans they don’t have with Trump? Higher taxes perhaps, certainly not better jobs and lower unemployment for minorities and women. Trump’s already done that without the taxes. Instead she’ll drone on how bad things are. Next she will promise to restore integrity to the office of President like the good old days when the Clintons were in the White House. (Imagine a laughing emoji inserted here).
