Kenneth Edward Hale, 88,  of Chattanooga, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2019, in a local health care facility.

He was born Sept. 3, 1931, in Chattanooga to the late Arthur and Mildred Hale. 

Mr. Hale was a United States Air Force veteran serving in Strategic Air Command during the Korean Conflict as well as an instructor.  He was the president of the KLH Liar’s Club. 

His wife, Julia Mahan Hale; grandson, Stanton E. Grubb; sister, Nancy Hale Hall; and several other siblings preceded him in death. 

He is survived by his children, Katharine “Kathy” Hale Grubb of Murfreesboro, Patricia “Patti” Hale (David, Jr.) Durgin of Georgia, David (Jeannie) Hale of Rising Fawn, and Dawn (Butch) Humble of Hixson; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, Nov. 18, at 1:30 p.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.
