Dorothy Day Cunningham passed away on November 23, 2019. 

 

She was the daughter of the late Robert C. and Mary Coyle Day.  She graduated from Notre Dame High School and was employed by, and retired from, AT&T as a supervisor.

 

She is survived by her brother Robert C. "Bob" Day and immediate area cousins Mary Jo and Melvin Downs, Rosemary and K. C. Carswell, Patrick Downs, Christopher Downs, Margaret and Dino Maonis, Gary and Alice Garrigus, Mark Garrigus, John and Lynn Burrow, Tim and Marsha Ortmeir, and niece, Frances Shackleford.  She also leaves behind two wonderful friends, Jan O'Neal and Yvonne Alexander.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 26, at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, 242 East Eighth Street.  Visitation will precede the funeral from 1-2 p.m. Burial will be at the Mount Olivet Cemetery at 4:30 p.m.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Basilica Organ Fund, Notre Dame High School, or the charity of your choice.
