Morris Lovelady
Morris "Mousie" Lovelady, 81, passed away on December 9, 2019.
He was a member of Daisy Church of God. He loved his family, friends, racing, NASCAR, and the outdoor life. Mousie was a master draftsman and engineer, graduating from Kirkman High School in 1956 and Chattanooga State. He worked many years, retiring from Tuftco Corporation, and then worked many years for Card-Monroe Corporation and Bobby Hicks Tufting. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Eunice Higgins Grant and father, Roy Lovelady.
Survivors are his loving of 59 years wife, Sylvia Privett Lovelady; daughter, Lena (Bill) Curtis; son, Brian (Susan) Lovelady; grandsons, Trey (girlfriend, Taylor Davis) Curtis and Daytona Lovelady; and sisters, Leisa Green, Janet Cox, Edra Miller. Many thanks to the family who helped diligently, as well as In Good Health and Hospice of Chattanooga.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hospice of Chattanooga.
Visitation is on Wednesday, Dec. 11, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, Dec. 12, at 11 a.m. with Bishop Clayton Privett and Bishop Caleb Bolton presiding. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Bill Curtis, Trey Curtis, Brian Lovelady, Daytona Lovelady, Wesley Duckett, and JR Raulston.
