The Chattanooga Symphony & Opera will present Home for the Holidays on Saturday, Dec. 21, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 22, at 3 p.m. at the Tivoli Theatre.
Sponsored by First Horizon Foundation, this family event features guest conductor David Torns, the Metropolitan Bells, the CSO Chorus & Orchestra, and vocals from Signal Mountain native and internationally acclaimed bass-baritone Seth Carico.
Now based in Berlin, Germany and garnering numerous awards for his exceptional vocals, Mr. Carico began performing at age nine with a role in Signal Mountain Playhouse’s production of The King and I. "I have been all around the world to sing, but no matter where I go, there is nothing like a hometown audience to make me feel truly special,” he says. “Watching the Chattanooga Symphony in the Tivoli Theatre was where I discovered my passion for opera, so there is no place I would rather be to celebrate the holidays."
The CSO Chorus and Metropolitan Bells will also return for 2019, lending their talents to classic Christmas carols and songs from favorite holiday films, including Frozen and Home Alone. Santa himself will also be available for free photos prior to the concert and during intermission.
Tickets begin at $21 and can be purchased by calling the CSO Box Office at 267-8583 or by visiting the CSO’s website at chattanoogasymphony.org.
