Nicholson, Alice Lafoe Lindsey (LaFayette)

Alice Lafoe Lindsey Nicholson, 69, of LaFayette, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2019.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard L. Lindsey and Mary Hambey Lindsey.

Alice was a member of Center Grove Baptist Church where she gained much faith and hope and enjoyed learning through church bible studies. Her strong faith was evident when diagnosed with cancer in 2015 where prayer and faith guided her doctors through her valiant four-year battle. She retired from Hutcheson Medical Center where she was a cardio monitor technician. 

She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Mike Nicholson; daughter, Andrea (Gene) Hester of LaFayette; son, Jason (Roberta) Steele of LaFayette; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Hester, Cody Hester, Makayla Steele, Lane Steele, Allen McKeehan, Brandon McKeehan, Courtney McKeehan, Delaney McKeehan, Averie Parris, and Houston Parris also known as “Duck-Duck”; great-grandchild, Landon Hester; brothers, Dennis (Denise) Lindsey and Sanford (Gloria) Lindsey of LaFayette; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, 2019, at Center Grove Baptist Church with Pastor David Brown officiating.

Interment will be at LaFayette Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers are Dennis Lindsey, Sanford Lindsey, Brandon Suddeth, Heath Kilgore, Jax Johnson, and Daniel Simmons.

Honorary pallbearers are Dan Horner and Gene Hester.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5–8 p.m. at the funeral home and on Friday at the church after 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Center Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, 68 Center Grove Church Road, Rock Spring, Ga. 30739.
