Retired From Quaker Oats After 38 Years

Carlton Cary Fouts, 92, of Ooltewah, died on Tuesday, December 10, 2019.

 

He was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and son of the late Oliver P. and Robbie Lahham Fouts. Carlton was a member at Concord Baptist Church for over 50 years. He retired from Quaker Oats, after 38 years as a mechanic, starting at its inception and working there until the facility closed.  Carlton was devoted to his family and loved spending time with them.

 

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Lee Jenkins Fouts; son, Ronnie (Paula) Fouts; daughter, Sandra Lynn (Robert) Mason; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 16, in the funeral home chapel with Reverend David King officiating. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
