Alan Lee Johnson, 57, of Soddy Daisy, died on December 14, 2019.

He was born on Nov. 26, 1962, in Kingsport, Tn., to the late Fred Lee and Billie Johnson. He grew up in Hixson and graduated from Hixson High School.  He attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where he was a brother in the ATO Fraternity. He worked for the Hamilton County Assessor’s Office for 34 years.

Mr. Johnson loved his family very much.

He was an avid golfer and was a member of Creek’s Bend Golf Club. He was a part time farmer who raised cows and planted gardens of abundance, giving away most of what he grew. He never met a stranger. He would help anyone he met. He always loved to laugh. He will be missed often and by many.

Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Tracey Johnson; children, Jason Griffith, Courtney (Kenneth) Martin, and Chase Johnson; sister, Cristi (Cliff) Harding; three grandchildren and a niece.

The family will receive friends at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20.

Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Sterling Jetton officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
