U.S. Navy Veteran Retired From Coca-Cola

Roy Thomas Jones, 80, East Brainerd went home to be with the Lord December 4, 2019.

 

Born in Mansfield, Ohio, Roy had been a resident of Chattanooga since 1975; retiring from Coca-Cola after 28 years of service.

 

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was an active member of GraceWorks Church.

 

Roy loved his family more than anything else and will be dearly missed.

 

Survivors are his wife of 58 years, Pat Jones;  two daughters, Kim Jones and Shari (Paul) Beam, all of Chattanooga;  son, Charles (Brenda) Jones, Mableton, Ga;  sister, MaryAnn Sautter;  brother, Robert (Joey) Jones, all of Mansfield, Ohio; three grandchildren, Jeremy Hoyt (Sarah) Covington, Shelby Beam, and Zachary Beam;  great-granddaughter, Olivia Grace Covington.

 

A Service of Celebration will be held on Monday, Dec. 9 at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Dr. Bill Owens and Rev. Tony Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly ask that memorial gifts in honor of Roy be made to the building fund at GraceWorks Church, 6445 Lee Highway, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421.
