Stephen Logan Powell
Stephen Logan Powell has been charged with aggravated robbery after police said he broke into a man’s house, threatened to kill him, and took electronics and pills from the victim.
According to police, on Saturday three men broke into the victim’s residence. When the victim awoke, he saw three white males with pistols and a taser standing over him. The victim said they threatened to kill him, but they also left him unattended while they looked for “zips.”
While the three suspects were distracted, the victim fled to a neighbor’s house and called 911. As he ran away, the victim noted a white Lexus that belonged to the 21-year-old Powell. Police said Powell and company took a television, a sound system, and pills belonging to another woman from the residence.
According to the victim, he had been at Powell’s residence the night before, smoking marijuana laced with “roxies and oxies.” After getting high, the victim Ubered back home.
At the victim’s residence, police found a shattered window where the three suspects most likely entered the house.
When police went to Powell’s residence, they observed a white Lexus parked outside of his apartment. When an officer went inside the apartment (whose door was already cracked open), he saw several people lounging inside. They appeared to be intoxicated, according to the police report.
The group of men were detained. The police also found Powell in the back bedroom, and took him into custody too. When police searched the home and vehicle, they found pills, drug paraphernalia, car keys, and Powell’s ID.
Powell was also charged with aggravated burglary.
