Fundraiser Set At St. Elmo Park To Aid Effort To Preserve 65 Acres Near St. Elmo

Officials of The Community Association of Historic St.Elmo said they are working with the Lookout Mountain Conservancy to preserve 65 acres of land that separates the neighborhood from the national park.
 
The property also includes an existing trail system that connects the two, it was stated. 

A fundraising event for the project is set in St. Elmo Park on Dec. 15 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
 
The event at the park will include:
  • Guided hike on the trail system from 1-3 p.m.
  • Cake walk
  • Nonprofit information - LMC, SORBA, SCC, Wild Trails, etc
  • S’mores
  • Live music
  • Silent auction and prize drawings
  • Outdoor gear swap
  • Food trucks
  • Neighborhood vendors and craftspeople
