Elizabeth Perry Scott-Coole finished her race strong and left this life to be with the Lord on November 26, 2019.

Elizabeth grew up on Wilder Street in East Chattanooga, attending King Memorial Methodist Church and Hardy Jr. High, where she was recognized as Most Athletic.  She was a proud graduate of Chattanooga High School, Class of 1941, and enjoyed attending her class reunions.

Elizabeth was a member of Brainerd Presbyterian Church for 64 years.  She retired from the Brainerd branch of Pioneer Bank with 25 years of service.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her first husband of 41 years, Russell Scott Jr., and by her second husband of 21 years, Dennis Coole.  She enjoyed traveling, especially to Daytona Beach and Miramar Beach, Fla.

Elizabeth was also preceded in death by her parents, George Watson Perry and Jodie Hill Perry; siblings, George Perry Jr., Mamie Ruth P. Wilson, Edith P. Evans, Jack Perry, Bettye P. Pugh, Charles Perry, and Jim Perry.

She is survived by her children, Sharon S. Woods (Harry), Signal Mountain; Susan S. Perkinson (Kerry), Franklin; Russell Scott III (Pamela), Chattanooga; stepson, Dennis Coole Jr. (Pam), Atlanta; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three nieces, and two nephews.  Elizabeth loved her family.

Thoughtfully, long before her passing, Elizabeth decided to donate her body to the UT Health Science Center in Memphis. There will be no visitation.  A private memorial service for family will be held on her birthday, January 5, 2020.

The family would be honored with gifts made in Elizabeth’s memory to Brainerd Presbyterian Church (1624 Jenkins Road, 37421) or The McCallie School (500 Dodds Avenue, 37404).
