Mary Elizabeth Owen, 94, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, December 6, 2019. 

A native of Sale Creek, she has been a resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia area most of her life, and was a member of the Lake Hills Church of God.  In her spare time she loved to sew, make quilts and loved her animals.

She was preceded in death by her son, James Owen; sister and brother-in-law, Minnie and Bill Fuller and her former husband, Howard L. Owen.

Survivors include her son, Jacky (Sandy) Owen; daughter, Joyce (Jerry) Puckett; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Kathy Owen; special niece, Shirley (Raymond) Millsaps and her fur babies, Tigger, Tiger, Bailey and Bambi.

A celebration of Life service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, in the East Brainerd Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Reverend Travis Ballinger officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday before the service at the East Brainerd Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 8214 East Brainerd Road.
