Gayle Gwendolyn Farmer
Gayle Gwendolyn Farmer, age 79, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Monday, December 9, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Dec. 27, 1939 in South Pittsburg, Tn., a daughter of the late Oran and Lorraine Dodson Owensby. She was also preceded in death by her son, Troy Farmer; daughters, Vicki Wheeler, Stacey Farmer; and brothers, Conrad Owensby and Kenneth Owensby.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Mitchell and Donna Marie Farmer of Dalton, Ga., Darryl and Donna Farmer of Crandall, Ga.; daughter, Robyn Newton of Dalton, Ga.; grandchildren, Mark Farmer (Katie), LaTrisha Crowder (Matt), Donnie Wheeler (Leanne), Amber Bagley (Caleb), Kaysi Roby (Aaron), Karen Swinney (Andrew); great-grandchildren, Lane, Lillie Mae, and Ellie Kate Farmer, Gracyn, Rhett and Hudson Bagley, Asher and Ananiah Roby and eight others; and nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Service to celebrate the life of Ms. Gwendolyn “Gayle” Farmer will be held Wednesday, Dec. 11, at 2 p.m. in the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Johnny Taylor officiating.
Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, Dec. 10, from 5-9 p.m.
