Division II-A Region 2 Hoops Action Begins Monday, Tuesday

Several Division II Class A teams will begin region basketball play on Monday and Tuesday of this week.  

In boys action, Notre Dame and CCS will play home games on Monday.  Silverdale and Boyd-Buchanan are on the road.  Winners of those games will advance to the region semifinals at Knox Webb on Friday.  The top for teams from region will advance to the first round of the Division II state playoffs. 

Notre Dame at Silverdale will host quarterfinal games in girls action on Tuesday.   CCS and Grace will travel.    Winners will play in the region semifinals on Friday at Knox Webb.

A Criminal Court jury on Friday night found Jason Sanford not guilty in the 2000 strangulation death of an East Ridge woman. The defense put on no proof.
