Dennis Ray Morgan, 72, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, February 11, 2019, at his home.

Dennis loved being outdoors whether it was hiking, fishing or just being out doing yard work. He also Loved NASCAR as well as making people laugh. Dennis was of Baptist faith, and served his country proudly in the U.S. Army in his early years. He went on to work at CPQ where he retired from after 36 years of service. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Morgan and Jessie Heifner Morgan; brother, Henry Morgan; nephew, Johnathan Edgemon. 

Dennis leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 36 years, Mary “Anita” Allen Morgan; son Jeremy Morgan of Biloxi, MS; brother, Bobby Morgan; sister, Sue (Prent) Edgemon, Carol Ann (Rick) Elliot. As well as several nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters-in-law. 

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Feb. 13, from 5-7 p.m. at Companion Funeral Home: Cleveland Chapel.

The celebration of life service will be held at 7 p.m. following the service. Interment will take place on Thursday, Feb. 14, at 2 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Kenneth Gardner will be officiating; and pallbearers will consist of Dennis’s nephews.
