Joe M. Kephart, age 93, of Dalton, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Hamilton Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Barbara Stone Kephart; sisters, Ann Hopper, Ora Lovin, Martha Wimpy, Frances Ellison, Florence Wade and Maxine Crow; and brothers, Floyd Kephart and Ray Kephart.
Mr. Kephart was a member of Grove Level Baptist Church and was a World War II veteran of the United States Navy.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Terry Kephart of Chapin, S.C., and Kim and Betty Kephart of Dalton; grandchildren, Brittany and Travis Presley, Kevin and Felicia Cummings, and Greg and Tonya Cummings; and great-grandchildren, Hunter and Hutson Presley, and Olivia, Conner, Kyle, and Kensley Cummings.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, Feb. 16, at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. William Walker officiating.
Burial will follow in United Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from noon until the funeral hour at 2 p.m.
