Willingham, Virginia Caroline

Virginia Caroline Willingham, 91, of Chattanooga, passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2019.

Virginia was born in Stonega, Va., on July 25, 1927, to the late William and Mary Humbert. She was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Edward E. Willingham.

Survivors include her two daughters, Sandra Lynn Perry (Ernie) and Sharon Gwynn Elliott (Howard); four grandchildren, Missy Bailey (Jim) of Red Bank, Randall (Rachel) Perry of Signal Mountain, Alan (Jakey) Elliott of Hixson, and Keith (Crystal) Perry of Soddy-Daisy; and nine great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, Feb. 17, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, Hixson.

Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel on Monday, Feb. 18, at 1 p.m. with Reverend Bill Harvey officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
