Edward Griggs, Jr., 64, of Rossville, Georgia, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2019.
He grew up in Toledo, Ohio where he attended Pickett Elementary and Scott High School. He was a veteran of the U.S Marine Corps.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Virginia Griggs, Sr.
Survivors include his wife, Sherri Griggs; son, Anthony (Crystal) Griggs; five grandchildren; brother, Christopher (Erica) Griggs; sisters, Linda (Jerry) and Barbara; special aunt, Juanita Foster; three nieces, three nephews; other relatives and friends.
He will lie in state on Monday, Feb. 18, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Reverend James T. Clark as the eulogist.
