Delbert Leon Caldwell, 70, a lifelong resident of Georgetown, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2019, at his home.

He was born on Oct. 19, 1948, a son of the late Amos Leon Caldwell and LouAnna Marie Neeley Caldwell. Delbert was a member of Stanfield Baptist Church. He worked for many years at Georgia Pacific before his retirement. Delbert enjoyed fishing, hunting and farming in his spare time. 

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a grandson, Easton Leon Caldwell. 

Delbert leaves behind to cherish his memory one son Jason Caldwell and his wife Kelley, two daughters Janet Caldwell and Melinda Freeman and her husband Doyle, seven grandchildren Tanner Caldwell, Haley Caldwell, Shelby Caldwell, Keegan Caldwell, Casey Hodges, Jon Hicks and Makayla Bolen, nine great grandchildren, four sisters Norma Hodgeson, Patsy Neely (Bobby), Sherry Stephens (Barry) of Orlando, FL and Donna Dunaway (Ron) of Huntsville, AL, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends. 

The family will receive friends on Sunday evening, Feb. 17, from 6-8 p.m. in the parlor of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road in Cleveland. 

A celebration of life service is planned for Monday, Feb. 18, at 3 p.m. at Stanfield Baptist Church, 1549 No Pone Road NW in Georgetown, Tn. with the Reverend David Evans officiating. The family will receive friends at the church two hours prior to the service from 1-3 p.m. 

Interment will follow in the Stanfield cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
