Kathleen Aurelia Holloway, 67, passed away on February 13, 2019.

She was a graduate of White Plains High School in White Plains, New York and Chattanooga State Technical College. She was married to Phillip Holloway for over 40 years. Kathleen retired from McKee Foods and was a member of Hawkinsville Baptist Church.

Kathleen was a very giving person always willing to help out whenever and wherever she could.  She was a devout Christian woman that loved her church as well as her church family.  We all knew her as “Kat” and she was known by others as the same. In earlier years she was referred to as “Ma” by her son’s friends who were always at her house for one reason or another.  Kat was deeply loved and will be sorely missed by many. Kat labored in the vineyard for many many years before her health failed.  She earned her wings on February and has taken a well-deserved rest.  I will forever miss my Big Sister but I know I am going to see her again.

Survivors include her husband, Phillip Holloway, sons Terrence (Karen) Lewis and Demond (Mia) Henderson; daughter, Katara Holloway; mother, Nannie Ransom; 12 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

The body will lie in state from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 20, immediately followed by a funeral service at 12 p.m. at Hawkinsville Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements are by John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 423 622-9995.
