The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women’s tennis team is back on the court on Tuesday, Feb. 19, hosting Carson-Newman. Match time is set for Noon at the Guerry Tennis Center at the Baylor School. This is a time and location change from the original schedule due to a rainy forecast in the Chattanooga area.
Despite the time and location adjustment, live scoring is still on for Tuesday’s match. A link is available on the women’s tennis schedule page on GoMocs.com.
Chattanooga is riding a four-match winning streak and takes a 4-2 overall record into the week. Senior Caroline Hall and sophomores Emma Van Hee and Bogdana Zaporozhets are all on four-match runs in singles play.
Van Hee and senior Delaney Edwards have won four in a row at No.
1 doubles, while freshman Lilly Holmes and senior Annie Tarwater are 2-0 at No. 2.
Carson-Newman is 3-2 overall, including wins against Sewanee (6-3), UVa-Wise (7-0) and Christian Brothers (7-0). The Eagles are NCAA Division II members of the South Atlantic Conference.
UTC is 2-0 all-time against Carson-Newman, but they have not faced the Eagles since a 7-2 win on April 13, 1994, Chattanooga.
