Alice Faye Swafford, 78, of Chattanooga, formerly of Whitwell, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2019.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ulysses Grant Swafford; son, Eaves Swafford; parents, Leonard & Zella Yarber; sisters, Zorina, LouJean Odena, Pearl, Claudine, Coralee and Ermon; and brothers, Henry, Larry and James.
Mrs. Swafford retired from Tennessee Valley Authority and was a member of Jehovah’s Witness Congregation.
Those left to cherish her memories are six children, Faye (David) Caraway, of Chattanooga, Jacqueline (David) Swafford, of Alabama, Donna (Quin) Hammonds, of Chattanooga, Ornealous (Odessa) Swafford, of Clarksville, Jeffery Cornealius (Betty) Gott, of Whitwell and Ricky L. (Pam) Gott, of Jasper; nineteen grandchildren, Tashia, Tony, Jaelyn, Ebony, Leslie, David, Marcus, Chrishelle, Stephen, Tiffaney, Christy, Lameika, Orneasha, Dominique, Jamyl, Adam, Jacob, Travis and Montoria; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Family will receive friends from 10 a.m.-noon on Saturday, Feb. 23 with a memorial service to follow at noon in the funeral home chapel.
