Huff, William Riley W.R. "Red" (Chickamauga)

William Riley W.R. “Red” Huff, 87, of Chickamauga, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 15, 2019. He was born to the late William Raleigh and Ethel Scheivelhud Huff in Ft. Oglethorpe, lived most of his life in the Chickamauga Area and was a member of Elizabeth Lee United Methodist Church. Red retired from N.G.E.M.C. in 1994, after more than 20 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle, who will be greatly missed. 

Red was also preceded in death by his sister, Helen Beatrice Wardlaw. 

He is survived by his loving wife, of 63 years, Mary Lynn Morrison Huff; children, Kelly (Rita) Huff, of Watkinsville, Ga. and Kevin (Cheryl) Huff, of Chickamauga; grandchildren, Tyler (Cam) Huff, John Huff, Jacob Huff and Laura Huff; and several nieces and nephews. 

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 19 at Elizabeth Lee United Methodist Church, with Min. Zach Fitzpatrick officiating. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday and from 5-8 p.m. on Monday and prior to leaving the funeral home on Tuesday.
