East Lake Expression Engine Hosts 2nd Annual Strength And Unity Concert

  • Tuesday, February 19, 2019
East Lake Expression Engine will host the second annual Strength & Unity Concert on Saturday, March 16, at 7 pm at New City Fellowship located at 2424 E. 3rd Street. The benefit concert will celebrate a diversity of music and performers as students between the ages of 4–18 will perform in the orchestra, choir, bucket and brass bands.
East Lake Express Engine instructors will also perform solos.

Admission to the concert is free; however, a love offering will be collected. Proceeds will benefit students enrolled in East Lake Expression Engine’s after school music program.

The program offers holistic music training to underprivileged students in the East Lake community. Students sing in the choir, play in bucket band, and have classes in music theory and composition as well as learn instruments in ensembles. Every week, students have approximately eight hours of music instruction. This intensive musical instruction is offered to students at no charge.
