CCS junior Micheal Houge had 21 points Wednesday in the Chargers 62-50 win over FACS in the first round of the Division II-A state basketball tournament at the Webb School. The Chargers advance to play the the host Webb School in the elite eight on Saturday at 5 p.m.
CCS was 26 of 30 from the free throw line including seven of eight from Houge. John Rhodes was seven for seven and finished with 10 points. Grant Van Meter had 11 points including two three pointers.
CCS jumped out to a 17-5 lead the half and led 33-17 at the half. CCS was nine of ten free throws in the final quarter.
