Garry Ray "Big Dad" Roden, 68, of Chattanooga died Friday, February 22, 2019 at his home.

A lifelong resident of Chattanooga, Garry was a 1968 graduate of East Ridge High School. He was co-owner of Roden Motors for over 28 years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Algie Roden;  his son, Christopher Lance Roden; and step-father, Jessie Lowery.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Roden;  daughter, Stephanie (Wade) Roden Fowler;  grandchildren, Jarrod and McKenzie Fowler;   mother, Ruth Roden Lowery;  brother, Steven Paul (Ruth) Roden;   sister, Judy Ann (Billy) Kirk;  all of Chattanooga; nieces, China Matthews, Betsy McCall and Emily Brewer; nephew, Steven Paul Roden Jr.; several great nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Heritage funeral home chapel with Mike Sims officiating.

Burial will be held Monday at 12 noon  at Lakewood Memory Gardens, East with Steven Paul Roden Jr., Jarrod Fowler, David Lewis, Kenneth Burnette, Jerry Weaver and Tom Bigger serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 4-8 p.m. and Sunday from 2-3 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 E. Brainerd Road.
