Be Irish for a day, or every day, during Rock City’s 12th annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration, Shamrock City. This much-anticipated festival turns everything green with envy, including the waterfall, March 9, 10, 16 and 17. Experience some Irish culture with expanded food and drink menu items, live entertainment and themed activities for all ages, daily from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
New Irish food this year at Café 7 includes Irish Potato Nachos, Corned Beef Grilled Cheese, Corned Beef Poutine with Guinness Gravy and slices of Guinness Cake! Indulge in other food offerings throughout the park too, like Irish-themed flavors of Clumpies Ice Cream, green kettle corn, green fudge, limeade, Shepherd’s Pie and Mulligan Stew to name a few.
Swing by the Pot of Gold Pavilion for traditional and contemporary Irish, Scottish, Celtic and Highlands music by returning artists Carolina Ceili, The Molly Maguires, Olta and The Wolfhounds. Guests can also learn the Irish jig or relax and watch dance performances with extended showtimes this season.
Experience the Suffolk Sheep Encounter with Bagby’s Critter Corral, as well as activities like panning for gold, geode digs and caricature art.
