David Earl Miller
David Earl Miller, age 79, of Chesapeake, Virginia, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019 in a local healthcare facility.
He was born June 26, 1939 in Chattanooga to the late Joseph Bartley and Tennie Emma Miller.
Mr. Miller was a member of the Plumbers & Steamfitters Local #43; the John Bailey Nicklin Chapter of the Masonic Lodge; and was a former Scoutmaster for Troop 69 of the Boy Scouts of America.
He was a former member of Concord Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Joyce Miller, and his daughter, Terrye Lynn Miller, both of Chattanooga.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Brian & Michele Miller of Chesapeake, VA; grandchildren, Zachary B. Miller (wife Leah) of Norfolk, VA, Andrew N. Miller, Bethany M. Miller, and Nathaniel J. Miller all of Chesapeake, VA; sister, Hilda Massey of Irving, TX; and brother, Herman Miller of Chattanooga, TN, along with many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Thursday, February 28, 2019 from 4 to 8 p.m. and Friday, March 1, 2019 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 1, 2019 at 11 a.m. in the East Brainerd Chapel.
Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
