Jeanette Meredith, 54, of Chattanooga, passed away on Friday, February 22, 2019 at a local hospital.
She was a graduate of Tyner High School, Chattanooga State Technical College, and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a B.S in finance and business administration. She was employed by Walden Security for over 10 years.
She was preceded in death by her father, Elverth Meredith; brother, Clyde Shell; grandmothers, Emma Nicholson and Tommie Newsome Meredith.
Jeanette leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Barbara Meredith; sister, Valerie Meredith; brothers, William Shell and David (Carol) Meredith, all of Chattanooga; niece, Regina Alston of Nashville, TN; nephews, Kevin Shell of Seattle, WA, Kory Shell of Maryland, Kacey Shell of Los Angeles, CA, , and Demetric Meredith of Chattanooga; close friends, Sandy Smith and Tonya Clark of Chattanooga, and Darlene “Dee Dee” Floyd of Atlanta, GA and a host of other relatives and friends.
The body will lie-in-state from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2019, followed immediately by a funeral service at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Elder Reginald L. Yates officiating and Rev. David Meredith delivering the eulogy. Interment: Lakewood Memory Gardens-East
