The Tennessee Aquarium opens on Friday its new exhibit Island Life, which features a Galapagos Tortoise sculpture sponsored by Tennessee American Water.
This new gallery, inside the Ocean Journey building, will take guests on an island-hopping tour around the world to meet creatures that have never been seen at the Aquarium.
The climbable, life-sized bronze sculpture of the Galapagos Tortoise is on the interactive discovery path for children with numerous pint-sized features. Along with helping appreciate the massive size of these long-lived creatures, this replica will also be the place many memories are captured as families snap selfies together.
“We are proud to support Tennessee Aquarium’s newest exhibit with the addition of the Galapagos Tortoise sculpture,” said Tennessee American Water president Val Armstrong.
“We know that visitors, both young and old, find meaning in interactive experiences. We are excited to increase awareness and appreciation of our natural waters across the globe.”
