Grant, Gary Dwight

Gary Dwight Grant, 68, of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2019. He had lived in the Chattanooga & North Georgia areas for most of his life and was of the Christian faith. He was an Army veteran, having served as a medic during the Vietnam War, and was awarded the Silver Star for his honorable service during combat. He absolutely adored his family and was a loving and devoted brother, father and grandfather, that will be truly missed by all who knew him. 
He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Stratton and two brothers, Glenn Stratton and Harry “Junior” Stratton. 

Survivors include his daughters & son-in-law, Dee & Josh Middlebrooks and Stephanie Grant; brother, Mark “Butch” Grant; four grandchildren, Jamison Grant, Kashayla Grant, Emily Middlebrooks and Ansley Middelbrooks; niece, Stephanie Stratton; and numerous extended family & friends.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday, March 14 in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel, with Bro. Reid Perry officiating. Burial will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday and prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
