Shirley Elaine Calhoun Winn, age 67, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away on Saturday March 16, 2019.

She was born on Jan. 6, 1952, was a dedicated member of Bethel A.M.E. Church, and worked for Hamilton Medical Center for over 30 years with the love and care of her patients and coworkers in the maternity ward. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wiley Cain Calhoun and Amanda Eugenia Branham Calhoun; and brothers, William “Sonny” Calhoun and Wiley “Bobo” Calhoun.

Those left to cherish her memories are her significant other, Herman Winn; two daughters, Letitia (Kevin White) Hudson, Evette (Marlon) O’Neal; grandchildren, Christopher Curtis, Morgan O’Neal, Jasmyne O’Neal; great-grandson, Christopher “CJ” Curtis Jr.; sister, Mary Sims; niece, Stacy (Mike) Wulf; nephews, Gary (Rena) Calhoun and Jayden Calhoun; special cousin, Murray Goodlett; and a host of other cousins and close friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 21, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at the funeral home with a closing prayer.
