Several fire agencies battled a two-alarm fire at the Patron Mexican Grill on Walden’s Ridge early Monday morning.
At 6:30 a.m., a motorist called 911 reporting heavy smoke at the Patron Mexican Grill at 3720 Taft Highway.
Walden’s Ridge Emergency Services, Signal Mountain Fire Department, Red Bank Fire Department, Chattanooga Fire Department, Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department, Mutual Aid Chief Mike Williams and Hamilton County Marine Rescue responded to the scene. Walden’s Ridge Emergency Services was the first unit on the scene confirming fire through the roof.
Chattanooga Fire, Walden’s Ridge Emergency Services and Dallas Bay VFD conducted a tanker shuttle to add additional water lines to fight the large fire.
No injuries were reported but HCEMS was on the scene for any potential injuries to the firefighters.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Hamilton County Fire Investigation Task Force.
Damages are estimated at $350,000.
Hamilton County Sheriff’s deputies temporarily closed the 3700 block of Taft Highway and Hollister Road due to the fire. The roads reopened just before noon.
