Foster, Richard James (Ringgold)

Richard James Foster, 71, of Ringgold, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2019 at his residence. A native of Birmingham, he has lived in the Ringgold area for the past 30 years and was formerly of Ooltewah. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a former employee of W.R. Grace where he worked for 30 years. The family was of the Catholic faith, and attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help in East Ridge. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy Allen and Mary Rita Rager Foster. 

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rita Gail Touchstone Foster, of Ringgold; two daughters, Valerie (Jay) Foster Pittman, of Ringgold and Angela Christine Foster, of Ringgold; and four grandchildren, Mitchell (Amanda) Parker, Abigail (Greyson) Thompson, Seth Pittman and Sydney Pittman. 

Private services will be held at a later date. 

Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home Wallis-Stewart Chapel Ringgold.
