Cleveland State Baseball Sweeps Doubleheader With Bryan College

Cleveland State Baseball swept a doubleheader at Bryan College with the Lions’ JV team on Monday.

In the first game, the Cougars won 9-2 in seven innings. Jonathan Hickman was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored and Tucker Mendenhall was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored. Caleb Hopkins was also 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored. Seth Wicker pitched seven innings and allowed just one earned run. He also struck out seven.

In the second game, they won 10-0 in six innings. Hickman put together another solid game for the Cougars, going 4-for-4, driving in five and scoring three runs. Pete Williams was also 2-for-4. Starting pitcher Bradford Mills pitched four innings of shutout ball and struck out four. Mills allowed just one hit.

Cleveland State will next play on Friday and Saturday against Chattanooga State at home. Friday’s game will start at 2:00 ET and Saturday’s doubleheader will start at 12:00 ET.
