Greater Chattanooga Area Chapter Of ARMA’s Information Management Spring Seminar Set For April 11

The Greater Chattanooga Area Chapter of ARMA will welcome area records and information management professionals to its Spring Seminar on April 11. The local ARMA Chapter is offering two presentations—one featuring Four Technologies Changing the Records and Information Management Field Today and one focused on HIPAA, Privacy and Security Fundamentals.

The half-day seminar will be held at Chambliss Law Firm's conference room on the 17th Floor of Liberty Tower, 605 Chestnut Street, on Thursday, April 11. Registration will begin at 8:30 with coffee and breakfast and the presentations will start at 9 a.m. The cost is $50 and includes lunch.

John Sakers and Wayland Harkey of Imaging Solutions and Services, Inc. (ISSI) will discuss trends in technology automation that are creating efficiencies in the way we capture, process, manage and search for information. RIM Professionals can keep pace by gaining an introductory understanding of the possibilities for Advanced Capture, Robotic Process Automation, Content Services, and Federated Search.

Mr. Sakers has been working in the digital document automation industry for 18 years. He is the director of Solutions Consulting at Imaging Solutions and Services, Inc. and is based in Atlanta. He has worked on digital automation projects that include office and engineering document conversion solutions; document management application design and implementation; business process automation; and advanced capture technologies.

Mr. Harkey is a 25-year veteran of the ECM/Imaging industry. Currently, he is the business solutions director for ISSI, where he applies technology solutions to meet client requirements. Previously, he served with Eastman Kodak Company (now Alaris, a Kodak Alaris Company), where he developed expertise in the design, creation, and marketing of data capture and document imaging technologies and solutions

Sue Gray of SH Data Technologies in Knoxville will offer a one hour presentation on HIPAA, Privacy and Security Fundamentals. Ms. Gray is a registered health information administrator with more than 30 of experience in the healthcare industry. She has been the health information administrator in both rural and metropolitan hospitals and served as an adjunct faculty member at Roane State Community College in the Health Information Technology program for eight years.  Her areas of expertise are Regulatory Agencies, Legal Aspects for Healthcare and Health Data Systems. She has consulted for Behavioral Health, Long Term Care, Veterinary Medicine, Legal Industry, and General Industry.
