Upcoming Street Closings Announced

Here are upcoming street closings:

Dodson Road
Dodson Ave will be closed between Wilcox Boulevard and Wilson Street on Monday until Friday, March 29, between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for the installation of the fire protection piping system for the Avondale YFD. Northbound and southbound traffic will be to Roanoke Avenue.

Ely Road
Ely Road will be closed between Ashland Terrace and Forest Glen Drive on Monday until Thursday, March 28, from 8 a.m.
until 3 p.m. for paving work. Access will be maintained for homeowners for all through traffic will be detoured.

Police have arrested a gang member on gun charges after tying him to a car used in several recent robberies.
