Sue Barnett Frick, 86, of Chattanooga, went home to be with the Lord on Friday,  March 22, 2019.

She was born in Lexington, Kentucky to the late Mary Stella and Robert “Bob” Barnett, Sr.  Sue was a 1951 graduate of Spencer High School, Spencer, North Carolina where she was valedictorian and a cheerleader.  She was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church where she and her husband taught an Adult Sunday School Class. Sue volunteered for over 25 years with American Red Cross at Parkridge and Memorial Hospitals. 

She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Barnett, Jr.

Sue is survived by her husband of 68 years, Jerry Frick; children, Lewis (Debbie) Frick, Reverend Larry (Catherine) Frick and Janie (Jesus ) Frick Ayala; 5 grandchildren, Charity (Jeremy) Langley, Candice (Claytor) Thompson, Caleb (Keaton) Frick, Drew Frick and Henry Frick; 10 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Alice Barnett.      

The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. on Friday, March 29, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. 

A Celebration of Life service for Sue will follow at 3 p.m. on Friday, at the North Chapel with Pastor Ken Clark officiating.   Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.   

Memorial contributions may be made in Sue’s name to Oakwood Baptist Church, 4501 Bonny Oaks Drive, Chattanooga, Tn. 37416.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Claudette Cox, Dianna Letson, Susan Tadle and Angela Jones for the love and care they gave to Sue.
