Dalton State Women's Golf Takes 1st Round Lead At Tennessee National

Dalton State Women's Golf got off to a good start with an opening round (+25, 313) to take the overnight lead at the TWU Spring Invitational at Tennessee National Golf Club in Loudon, Tenn. on Monday.

(RV) Milligan (Tenn.) is in second after a (+31, 319), with #8 Loyola (La.) (+32, 320) in third. #13 Southeastern (Fla.) and (RV) Tennessee Wesleyan (+39, 327) share fourth and round out the top-5.

Junior Hannah Gasaway led the Lady Birds in scoring with a round of (+3, 75), good enough for third overall.
She is joined in the top-5 by All-American Isabel Rijos and freshman Sutton Rollins. Both posted (+5, 77) on the afternoon with Rijos' score counting to the team, while Rollins is playing as an individual.

Redshirt junior Haejin Choe is tied for 10th with Sarah Son of Milligan and Daria Delfino of Loyola after carding (+7, 79). Katelyn Skiffen is in the top-15 as another individual in the event after a round of (+9, 81).

Freshman Cameron Daniel is alone in 18th posting (+10, 82), while All-American Katie Dalton is in a tie for 20th shooting a round of (+12, 84).

The #4 Lady Roadrunners will be back in action tomorrow, March 26 as they look to close out another team victory in the TWU Spring Invitational at Tennessee National Golf Club in Loudon, Tenn.
